Weekend Wrap-up

We finished our first week back to school after Christmas break. The older kids began their unit on Africa, specifically focusing on Kenya, and Little Red spent the week learning about the letter P and penguins.

Saturday, Soccer Girl had a basketball game. Her team finally won a game! While I don't think she'll ever be one of the most aggressive players on the court, she did try to get in there a little bit to get the ball, and she played some decent defense.

Trying for the rebound. It's hard when you're one of the smallest on the court.
In deep thought before the 2nd half begins.
She may be small, but she hustles down the court.
Robb spent Saturday afternoon at a soccer scheduling meeting, where the schedules for The Boy's and Soccer Girl's travel teams were decided. We'll have some home games this spring, for which I am extremely thankful.

Today, Sassy Pants woke up with a rash all over the top half of her body so she and I stayed home from church. I have no idea what is causing the rash; she didn't eat anything unusual yesterday and she has no fever.

The Boy is at his first practice for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) team this afternoon. I can't wait for him to come home and tell me all about it this evening.

And, thanks to our "global warming" problem, we have a forecast for snow again tonight and tomorrow. South Carolina isn't known for getting a lot of snow, and now we have the chance to have snow twice in 2 weeks. Crazy!
