Conversations in History

The 3 older girls have a journal as part of their school work each day. Some days, we write conversations back and forth to each other. It's a great way for me to learn what's going on in their lives that they feel more comfortable writing about than talking about.

Other days, I give them a prompt and ask them to write about it. Today I gave them this prompt:
If you could talk to anyone from history, who would it be? What would you talk about?

Here are their responses:

Ballerina - Abraham Lincoln. I would want to know what he would have done if he hadn't been killed.

Soccer Girl - Abraham Lincoln. I would talk to him about how he changed the Civil War.

Little Red - George Washington to talk about being the President.

I got to thinking about who I would choose. I think I would like to sit down with one of the Founding Fathers, probably either Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson, to see what they think about the current state of the United States.

Now I want to hear from you -
If you could talk to anyone from history, who would it be? What would you talk about?
