Hunting Eggs

We were able to fit in a quick egg hunt this afternoon. I'm not sure how many more years I'll have where all 5 of the small people participate, but they did this year.

Happy Resurrection Day

Happy Resurrection Day!

I am so thankful that Jesus suffered and died for my sins. Then He proved His ability to BE the Savior by rising again on the third day.

Here's my crew this morning. I think this is the first year I was able to get pictures of all of them without it taking forever! We had to take them inside instead of in front of my gorgeous azalea bushes because it's raining this morning.

Even pictures of all of them turned out great (and didn't take 40 tries to have everyone with their eyes open AND smiling).

Dyeing Eggs

We spent today dyeing Easter eggs. The small people had a good time. We had to do it in two shifts - The Boy and Sassy Pants went first, then the other 3 girls.

I found one of the best ideas from Tiffany over at vphonegirl. She used a wire rack to let the eggs dry. I had never thought about that before. I usually just use the little boxes with the punchouts, but they get all wet and start falling apart. I had to use them for some eggs since I had too many eggs for the wire rack.

Pineapple Casserole

Food on Friday (repost from 2012)

My small people love pineapple casserole and request it for every holiday meal, so I'll be making it again for Easter.
Ingredients:
2-4 cans of pineapple chunks, well drained
1 C sugar
1/2 C flour
1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
2 C grated cheddar cheese
1 stick butter, melted

Mix together sugar and flour. Mix with pineapple and put into greased casserole. Top with cheddar cheese. Sprinkle crackers over cheese and drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Wordless Wednesday - My Ballerinas

After the Saturday matinee performance, the company held a tea party where the older girls came out in character to mingle with the guests. This is Ballerina and Little Red with Mother Goose.

Share your Wordless Wednesday posts here. I'd love to see them!

Mother Goose Ballet

Ballerina and Little Red dance in the company at the local ballet school. This spring's performance is Tales from Mother Goose.

Ballerina is the spider for Little Miss Muffet; one of her best friends is Miss Muffet, so that worked out well. Little Red is Pat-a-Cake with one of her good friends.

There are no cameras allowed for performances, so I went for dress rehearsal to get some shots of them dancing. Disclaimer: I am NOT a professional photographer, nor do I play one on tv. These are my amateur shots so they might not be perfect, but they at least let us have record of these memories.
