Jungle Book and King of the Wind

This year for the A to Z Challenge my theme is Children's Books Around the World. Each book either has a specific setting around the world or is about a world culture.

I've spent this year studying geography - countries and cultures - with the girls. One of the things I love about homeschooling is finding new books to read with my small people, especially ones that go along with what we're studying.

I'm behind on my posts so today you get a 2 for 1 deal - 2 books in 1 post. LOL
J is for The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling

K is for King of the Wind by Marguerite Henry

The Jungle Book is another book that also inspired a movie. This one is set in the jungles of India and features a young boy named Mowgli who was raised by wild animals.

King of the Wind is about Sham, a stallion born in the stables of the Moroccan sultan. His adventures take him from Morocco to France to England.
