This year for the A to Z Challenge my theme is Children's Books Around the World. Each book either has a specific setting around the world or is about a world culture.
I've spent this year studying geography - countries and cultures - with the girls. One of the things I love about homeschooling is finding new books to read with my small people, especially ones that go along with what we're studying.
B is for The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes
I love the message shared in this book about bullying and about how being silent while bullying occurs makes you just as guilty as actively bullying.
Other H books around the world:
Heart of a Tiger by Marsha Daine Arnold
Here Comes the Cat! by Frank Asch and Vladimir Vagin
Here is the Tropical Rain Forest by Madeleine Dunphy
Hill of Fire by Thomas P. Lewis
How the Ostrich Got Its Long Neck by Verna Aardema
How to Make a Cherry Pie and See the USA by Marjorie Priceman
How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World by Marjorie Priceman
