January in Review

My word for 2016 is Disciplined. Looking back on this month, I can see how I've worked toward living that.

Our homeschool is more organized because I have disciplined myself to get papers graded in a much more timely manner. I'm also doing a much better job of following up with each of the small people when there are areas of concern.

My house, while not spotless and completely decluttered, is improving slowly but surely. Thankfully this is a marathon and not a sprint. Slowly, I am getting control of our "stuff."

I haven't started my Academic Tutoring business, but I am working on getting it started.

Spiritually, I'm much more disciplined in my time with the Lord. After watching War Room and starting to read Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer, I have been spending much more time with the Lord in prayer - serious, specific, strategic prayer. It's amazing!

Relationships are still a struggle for me as I try to make sure that I set aside one-on-one time for the important people in my life. I definitely want to make this a more disciplined area in February.

For my personal growth, I have been making a conscious effort to do more reading. I also am working toward finishing Sassy's Christmas stocking; it's almost done! Little Red and I went by Joann Fabrics to looking into sewing classes for her and found some knitting and quilting classes that I am interested in. There will be classes in my future in 2016.

So how has your January gone? Have you made progress on your goals? Living your word?
