Week in Review - Week 2

As is normal for me, life got in the way of me blogging about last week in a timely fashion. Soccer Girl's team played in a tournament out of town this past weekend and came in 2nd! Needless to say, I didn't even think about blogging over the weekend, and then I've spent the past few days trying to teach the small people and recover from the weekend.

We began learning about Job. While we were illustrating the lesson about the first chapter of Job, The Boy's picture of Satan looked an awful lot like a ninja, which Soccer Girl was more than happy to point out to him. Here's Soccer Girl's picture of how God blessed Job with a lot of things.

We studied about the Spanish conquistadors and Mary, Queen of Scots and her relationship with Queen Elizabeth I.

In astronomy, the girls studied Uranus and Neptune. The Boy finished up the first chapter on measurement in Physical Science.

We finished our study of the days of creation, and Sassy Pants finished her Creation Book. I didn't take a picture of Day 7's page since it was blank with only the words "God rested."

Sassy spent the first couple of weeks exploring different math manipulatives, including the bear figures and pattern blocks.

She also made a pictograph that showed the number of boys and girls in our family.

On a completely unrelated note, when did my son grow up? He was lying on the couch the other day working on his grammar assignment, and he no longer looked like a little boy. I can't believe he's almost a teenager!
