Internet

**For those of you visiting me from the A to Z challenge, welcome! I'm homeschooling through the alphabet.**

The other day I mentioned that homeschool isn't just books, pencils, and paper. In addition to games, the Internet can be a great asset.

I is for Internet

I'm so thankful for the Internet. To be perfectly honest, I'm not really sure if I could homeschool without it!
  • Don't know the answer to one of my small people's questions? Just Google it.
  • Need an idea for an art project? Check out Pinterest. (By the way, you can find me on Pinterest here.)
  • Sassy Pants needs to practice phonics while I work with the older ones? Reading Eggs to the rescue.
  • Want to chat with other homeschooling moms without leaving the house? Facebook is perfect!
Where is your favorite place to go on the Internet?

  1. Computers are the technological miracle of our time. I love the internet!! Homeschooling would be almost impossible without it, eh?

  2. I'm sure the internet revolutionised homeschooling. All schooling I would guess. My favourite for homeschooling is YouTube. Need to know what sound a giraffe makes? YouTube has a video. Need to know what happens in a chocolate factory? YouTube can take you on a tour. Not a day goes by when we don't use to learn in some fashion.

  5. Whenver one of my kids asks a question that stumps me, I tell them to Google it. It sounds so much nicer than look it up in the dictionary/encyclopedia and they don't mind an excuse to use their computers in the least. :)

  6. Pinterest is probably one of the most addicting places I've been on the Internet. I can't seem to get away from it.

  7. I don't know if I have a favorite place to go on the internet--probably Google to search for things and maybe Wikipedia.

  9. 1st stop is to check the email. 2nd is for facebook. I love keeping in touch with scattered friends and family. I usually hit Goodreads and Pinterest from various emails of facebook posts. But during April the 1st stop is usually blogspot to check out all of the challege posts. (Of course, my kids are almost all grown, so they do their own internet searching)
