Twins turn 10

Soccer Girl
It's been almost a month since the dynamic duo turned 10. I can't believe how quickly time is flying by!

First thing on birthday morning, they opened their presents from the family. Lots of fun crafty stuffy, Littlest Pet Shop animals, clothes and a new pair of flip flops for each of them.

The most important thing about turning 10 for them was getting their ears pierced. Robb had told them long ago that they couldn't get their ears pierced until they turned 10. When he said that, 10 seemed SO far away. Once 10 was right around the corner, he tried to renegotiate to 12 or 15, but they were having none of that. So as soon as it was open, we headed to the mall to get those ears pierced.

First up was Ballerina. She was the most nervous about it (and the one who's the most sensitive to pain) so it made the most sense to let her go first. She picked cute little pink hearts.

Next up was Soccer Girl. She picked peace symbol earrings; nothing too girly for her.

They picked IHOP for lunch so we hopped on over there. (Aren't I punny?) Chocolate chip funny face pancakes for Soccer Girl and create-a-face pancakes with fruit face and yogurt hair for Ballerina.

That night Sassy Pants and Little Red had softball games, but afterward we headed home for cake. You can probably tell whose cake is whose.

They had their birthday party the next night. That will be a post for another day (hopefully tomorrow, but we'll see).

  1. Awwww, so cute! I think I got my ears pierced when I was around their age. I only got boring old gold balls, though :) What a fun birthday! And IHOP, too! They are just so cute. I love how very different they are, and that they feel comfortable having their own likes and dislikes.

Thanks for stopping by Tales of a Pee Dee Mama. I love to hear from my friends!
