(The) Endless Steppe

This year for the A to Z Challenge my theme is Children's Books Around the World. Each book either has a specific setting around the world or is about a world culture.

I've spent this year studying geography - countries and cultures - with the girls. One of the things I love about homeschooling is finding new books to read with my small people, especially ones that go along with what we're studying.

E is for The Endless Steppe by Esther Hautzig

This book shares the arrest and imprisonment of the Rudomin family. Taken from their home in Poland, they are forced to live in exile in Siberia. The strength of their family helps them survive.

Other E books around the world:
Picture Books
The Empty Pot by Demi
Erandi's Braids by Antonia Hernandez Madrigal

Ernie Dances to the Didgeridoo by Alison Lester

Is your family strong enough to endure hardships together?
