The Pencil Grip, Inc. Thin Stix 6 pk of Classic Colors Review

Sassy loves to color, paint, draw - if it's creative and crafty, she enjoys it. I like it when that creativity doesn't create a huge mess. The Pencil Grip, Inc. provides mess free, fast drying tempera paint in their Thin Stix 6 pk of Classic Colors.

Thin Stix by KwikStix

For this review, we received a 6 pack of Thin Stix solid tempera paint markers in classic colors - yellow, red, green, blue, brown, and black.

We had the opportunity before to review the Kwik Stix 12 pk., and the girls and I loved them. I was excited to have the opportunity to try these new Thin Stix.

Let me start by sharing that I love the concept of tempera paint that comes in a marker with a cap, that doesn't need water, and that dries quickly. Who wouldn't? All Sassy has to do is take off the cap, twist the bottom until she has enough paint to use, and then paint. By the time she's done creating, coloring, whatever, the paint is dry. She doesn't have to lay her creations all over the dining room table to let them dry (and keep them away from the dog). It also means that there are no paint brushes in the sink or cups all over the counter top after having been filled with water for painting. There's no spilled water that has to be cleaned up from the kitchen table. I don't even mind that she uses them while lying on the carpet in the living room.

I mentioned that we loved the Kwik Stix, but one of the things we didn't like about them was that they are really thick. The Thin Stix solves that problem. They are much thinner and can be used for so many  more things.

One of the first projects that we used the Thin Stix for was a get well card for one of the track coaches in another club. He has been diagnosed with cancer and hasn't been able to attend the meets. Our club hosted a meet at the end of April, and my girls created the card for us to have at the check in table. It was available for the coaches of the various teams attending to sign. (This is one reason why I love that my girls are involved in track - it's really like one large family. Even though the clubs compete against each other, we still care about each other.)

Sassy also has used the Thin Stix for coloring pictures. The colors are so much move vibrant that using crayons and they don't run out as easily as markers.

We received the classic colors, and I can't wait to get the other colors available from The Pencil Grip, Inc. The Thin Stix also are available in neons and metalix, as well as in a creativity pack of 24.
