Drop Everything and Read - January 21

My reading life has really picked up, thanks mostly to technology. I've kept a physical book with me in the car so I have something to read while waiting on my kids to be done with track practice, drama class, etc. I also have a book on my Kindle that I read before going to sleep each night. Now I've added an audio book, which is great for when I'm driving (like yesterday to and from an indoor track meet 2 1/2 hours away) or when I'm working.

What I've finished so far this year:
  • Pandemic by Robin Cook - I don't usually read medical thrillers, but I might start now. This book was better than I anticipated it being, although I think I would have appreciated it more if I had understood some of the medical jargon. The thought of the advanced biotechnology that is available and how it can be used for both good and evil is frightening to me. My rating - 💙💙💙💙
What I'm reading now:

My rating scale:
💙💙💙💙💙 - I LOVED this book and highly recommend for others to read it. In fact, I would seek out people to recommend it to.
💙💙💙💙 - It was a good book. I encourage others to read it.
💙💙💙 - The book was okay.
💙💙 - Something about the book (the writing style, the plot, a character, etc.) was off-putting to me.
💙 - I did not like this book. I struggled to finish it (or might have not finished it at all).

What are you reading now?
