Britfield & the Lost Crown Review

I am a firm believer that, if you don't have the funds to be a world traveler (which I certainly do not), the next best thing is to travel extensively in your reading life. I love reading books set in other countries because you can visit there in your imagination, especially if the author does a good job of descriptive writing. So I was intrigued when I was offered the opportunity for us to review Britfield & the Lost Crown, which is set in England. Since Brailey and Brittany are always looking for new books to read, I thought this would be a good book for them to try out as well.

A Birthday Finish

I had planned to start a new cross stitch project on my birthday, but I didn't order the fabric in time for it to be here for that. However, I was able to finish a project. I started this in September 2018, so it took me just a little short of a year.

My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping Review

I am a planner. I make detailed to-do lists. I have notepads and planners and notebooks all over my school area. And for years, I've been a paper and pencil planner for our homeschool. So I felt a little trepidation when I received the opportunity to review the Annual Membership Plan for My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping.

CTCMath Review

Love it or hate it, math is a necessary part of a good education. Some of my kids love it; others hate it. My goal is to make them successful math students, regardless of how they feel about the subject. One way I try to do this is through the addition of a supplementary math program. We have our core math curriculum, but I also like them to get additional practice. We've been using CTCMath for several years as our supplementary math program, and I was delighted to have the opportunity to review their 12-month Family Membership.

Memoria Press - Ninth Grade Literature Set Review

It's hard to believe but I now have another child in high school. Caelin is in ninth grade this year, which means a new level of school work and expectations. Since all of my children learn differently, I knew that what I used with the twins for literature was not going to work with Caelin. I was intrigued by the Ninth Grade Literature Set from Memoria Press, so I jumped at the opportunity to review it. The fact that these cover classical literature was very appealing. Caelin and I started with the Beowulf the Warrior Memoria Press Literature Guide, and we will work through the rest of the literature guides during this year.

Library and Educational Services LLC Review

I don't know about you, but at my house, we love books. (Some of us more than others.) We have a lovely set of built in bookshelves in our living room, a 6-foot tall book shelf in the school room, and bookshelves in the bedrooms. The biggest problem we have with our love of books is the lack of funds to buy all the books we want. So when I find an economical resource for purchasing books, it makes me very happy. Needless to say, I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to review Library and Educational Services LLC, a company that sells wholesale books.

I've Joined Flosstube!

I've been hooked on watching videos on Flosstube for the past couple of months. It looked so fun that I decided to join in as well. I posted my first Flosstube video this past weekend. I'm hoping that my future ones will be less awkward. LOL

You can find my Flosstube channel here.
